Lizzo Called Out TikTok For Taking Down Videos Of Her In A Bathing Suit

    "I wonder why?"

Lizzo just perfectly called out TikTok — ON TIKTOK, no less — for taking down videos of the singer wearing a bathing suit.

In her video responding to the takedowns, Lizzo lip-syncs the words "I know" repeatedly (a viral trend on the app, first started by TikToker Erin McMillen). As Lizzo lip-syncs, words flash across the screen.

"TikTok keeps taking down my videos with me in my bathing suits," she wrote.

"But allows other videos with girls in bathing suits."

"I wonder why?" she wrote, while continuing to lip-sync "I know" over and over.

"TikTok...we need to talk," she concluded.

Since it was posted yesterday, Lizzo's TikTok has been viewed more than 8 million times. Fans are flooding her comments with love and solidarity:

A few other TikTokers mentioned in the comments that the same thing had happened to them:

And many users were quick to point out the hypocrisy on TikTok's part, as the app lets one of its biggest stars, Charli D'Amelio, routinely post videos of herself in a bathing suit:

For reference, here's what Charli's TikTok page looks like right now:

I think I speak for all of us when I say: TikTok, what the fuck?
