1. On Monday, the New York Times’ Paul Krugman posted a piece titled “Terror Politics” on his blog “The Conscience of a Liberal.”
It’s a column about the politics of terrorism.
2. The blog post was accompanied by the iconic image of President Obama, Hillary Clinton, and the rest of the cabinet watching the Osama bin Laden raid.
We’ve all seen this pic before, right?
3. But, as an eagle-eyed reader pointed out to BuzzFeed News, there is a special addition to this picture. Do you see it?
UPDATE
Krugman has updated his column to say that he put the cat picture up on purpose, not by accident as many speculated.
“Yes, I know there’s a cat in the picture; I took it from Slate, ‘The Cats of War,’” he said. “I’ve used that image before, to lighten things up slightly. Apparently I didn’t succeed.”
CORRECTION
The name of Krugman’s piece was “Terror Politics.” A previous version of this article misstated the name.
