Britney Spears' Fans Are Very Happy Taylor Swift Didn't Beat Her First Week Sales Record

    Oops! ... She did it again.

    Remember Britney's album Oops! ... I Did It Again? When it debuted in 2000, it sold 1,325,311 in its first week, the highest debut for a female artist.

    There were reports that Taylor's 1989 album was set to dethrone Britney after her 14 year reign.

    Well, it didn't happen. Taylor sold 1,316,427, missing Britney by only 8,884 albums.

    It's not even the first time it's been thought that Taylor might beat Britney's record. In 2012, Red became the second highest debut for a female artist when it sold 1.21 million in its first week.
