1. So you're having a regular conversation with your friend, just chatting about your favourite TV shows and movies, when all of a sudden, they're declare that they ~hate~ your OTP.
2. At first, you assume that you misheard them, because obviously your OTP is flawless and it's impossible to hate them because they're so perfect together.
3. Your friend, however, is not kidding. "What's so funny?" they ask, confused.
4. "Tell me you're kidding," you say, on edge.
5. "...but... I'm not kidding?" your friend replies, not understanding the full weight of their words.
6. The shock begins to set in.
7. Your fire a warning shot.
8. "...what's happening right now?" your friend asks. "Are you okay?"
9. You take a deep breath. This is going to get intense.
10. You begin to tell them how you feel.
11. "They're perfect together, do you not understand that?" you say, pleading the case for your beloved OTP.
12. "Mmmhmm," your friend says, barely tolerating you.
13. "I just don't ship them," your friend responds, stating that they'd like to see one of them with another character WHO IS TOTALLY AND OBVIOUSLY WRONG FOR THEM.
14. You start to realise the gravity of the situation.
15. You begin to get emotional.
16. You start to wonder if your friendship will survive this.
17. Your friend is about 500% done with you and your irrational behaviour.
18. "Okay, I'm sorry!" your friend says, insincerely.
19. "You're not sorry! YOU'RE WRONG!" you say, completely unhinged.
20. "OH MY GOD YOU NEED TO PULL IT TOGETHER THEY ARE FICTIONAL," your friend says, visibly angry.
21. You snap out of your tailspin.
22. "Okay, yeah, you're right. It's not that important," you reply, cautiously.
23. You agree to move on and never speak of this moment again.
24. But in a tiny corner in the back of your mind, you know that this has altered your opinion of your friend and their awful taste.
25. ...and also, you know you're right and your OTP is ~FLAWLESS~.
