How Gentrified Is Your Town?

You probably still have affordable housing! Your neighbourhood might still be at a point where the library/public toilets/ fire station hasn't been bought up by developers to convert it into luxury apartments.

Your town isn't very hipster or gentrified at all.

You might have the odd trendy coffee shop or an independent cinema but your neighbourhood still retains some of its original charm\*.   

\*people that were actually born there and can afford to buy a house there.

Your town is only a little bit hipster and gentrified.

You've got your fair share of hipster gentrified businesses. There's a Starbucks but people probably feel guilty about going there over your local independent chain. You probably have one of those gift shops that doesn't really sell anything particularly useful, and a shop that sells really expensive baby clothes.

Your town is fairly hipster and pretty gentrified.

It's very gentrified and probably unaffordable now to anyone who was born there. You can't move for independent coffee shops and vegan small plates restaurants. The people of your town would definitely petition against a Walmart / Asda trying to open there. All of your public toilets and other vital public services have probably been turned into cocktail bars/luxury housing.

Your town is extremely hipster and extremely gentrified.
