It's no secret that Tasty has some of the most delicious recipes the internet has ever seen.
So I decided to make a few and have my family taste test it during dinner.
There were two minor issues. First, there were so many delicious recipes to choose from I honestly couldn't pick. Second, we are allergic to certain foods and products so that ruled out a lot of the recipes. No need to fear because after an endless search, I found two recipes that I knew my family would love. The Cucumber, Tomato, and Avocado Salad and One-Pot Lemon Garlic Shrimp Pasta. Both combined, I had the perfect menu for dinner.
Not surprisingly, the one-pot pasta was extremely easy to make.
It was simple, light, and dare I say it... tasty!
Now, onto the Cucumber, Tomato, and Avocado salad. The reason I chose to make this was because it didn't involve much work and it's really refreshing — perfect for the summer!
After cutting some tomatoes, a cucumber, an onion, and an avocado, I added the cilantro and dressing and, voilà, it was done!
The finished product:
It looked delicious and smelled wonderful, but was it as tasty as I thought it would be? Time to find out!
Family Verdict on the one-pot pasta:
Mom: "Mhmmmmmm this is delicious. Little on the spicy side but I love it!"
Dad: "Beautiful."
Sister: "Oooh. This is great. Loving the lemon in this."
Success. 💪
Family verdict on the salad:
Mom: "Aww, you plated it so beautifully. I don't want to touch it."
Dad: "This is good but it would be better if you didn't add the cilantro...."
Sister: "I disagree. This cilantro makes it taste better. I feel like something is missing but it's still good though."
Mom: "It tastes just as good as it looks!"
Success-ish 💪
