This Man Without Arms And Legs Has Gone Viral For Showing A Glimpse Into His Daily Life

    "The talent jumped out."

Gabe Adams is a 22-year-old motivational speaker and entrepreneur who was born in São Paulo, Brazil without arms or legs. At 9 months old, he was adopted by a family in Utah and grew up with 13 siblings. "If there’s one thing that I have learned from my family," he told BuzzFeed, "it would be 'to never give up' and 'there is always beauty where there are challenges to overcome.'"

Gabe began making TikToks in 2018 just for fun. Since then, nearly every one of his videos has gone viral and received millions of views. Some show his followers how he does certain daily tasks, like how he uses his cellphone:

But something that Gabe really enjoys sharing with his followers is how he creates makeup looks, which he taught himself after "hours and hours of practice."

His looks range from everyday to bold and intricate, like this Euphoria-inspired look that's his personal favorite:

When asked what inspired him to start sharing makeup content, Gabe told BuzzFeed, "Growing up as a kid, I was always having to defend myself as a person without limbs. I also grew up in a Mormon home where I struggled to find my identity as a gay person who stood out physically. With that being said, I wanted to defy the odds and break down barriers and turn heads. I think I've at least accomplished that, if not more."

"I hope to continue doing so, not only for myself, but for those out there who are also struggling to find themselves. Whether that's in a physical situation that makes them different, or in a sexuality identification situation, to help them find who they are healthily and creatively, and also let them know that they aren’t alone."

The response to Gabe's TikToks has been overwhelmingly positive, including praise from James Charles!

Of course, there will always be people who choose to be negative, but Gabe just ignores them because they aren't worth it. "If there’s one thing I’ve learned from being in the limelight ever since I’ve been a little kid, it's that we always have a choice on what affects us and how it affects us. And at the end of the day, none of these people truly know me. They only get to see what I choose to let them see."

In the end, Gabe just wants to be the best version himself and for his TikToks to reflect that. "They say that the sky is the limit, but I choose to keep being 'limb-it-less' and out of this world."
