Lucasfilm has announced that Benicio Del Toro and Laura Dern are joining the cast of Star Wars: Episode VIII.
Del Toro, who has starred in films such as The Usual Suspects, Sin City, and Sicario, won an Academy Award for best supporting actor in Traffic. Laura Dern played Dr Ellie Satler in Jurassic Park and has also starred in Wild, The Fault in Our Stars, and Lost Highway.
It has not been confirmed what roles the two actors will play in the film.
And many people are noting how Laura Dern was in a film literally e-v-e-r-y-o-n-e watched as a kid.

Newcomer Kelly Marie Tran is also joining the cast.
Lucasfilm has also confirmed that Episode VIII has started production and that previous cast members including Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, John Boyega, and Daisy Ridley will return.
The announcement was accompanied with this YouTube video, which shows what appears to be the first shot of the new film (Warning: It contains some spoilers for The Force Awakens).
