Tried, tested, and loved by BuzzFeed editors and writers!

1. Nivea Visage Refreshing Facial Cleansing Wipes *actually* get off every bit of makeup and dirt with a few gentle swipes for those days (normal or vacay) when you just can't fit in a proper wash.

Anamaria Glavan / BuzzFeed

I recently went on a Croatian vacation and naturally forgot to pack just about everything. On top of the AnaMaria-where-is-your-head list: makeup remover. I speed-walked to the local store and grabbed the first thing I found, which were these Nivea Visage Refreshing Facial Cleansing Wipes. Good news! I fell in love with this product and am now a firm believer in destiny.

It really does a seriously fantastic job at getting all the gunk off your face (for proof, see the second photo). These magic wipes have rescued me from suffering the dreaded panda-eye syndrome, and I feel eternally grateful. They also leave my skin feeling clean, refreshed, and moisturized. It feels like I’ve actually washed my face when I didn’t get the chance to.

Sadly, I haven’t been able to find these in any US brick-and-mortar stores, but thank the universe for the internet! Because these bad boys are available on Amazon. —Anamaria Glavan

2. Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask is a thick, berry-enriched balm that locks in moisture overnight, so you wake up with a pout that's soft to the touch.

@laneige / Via instagram.com, Sarah Han / BuzzFeed

One of the most obvious facts about me is that I love lipstick (hello, I wear it every day). Liquid lipstick, to be exact. Another obvious fact? Liquid lipstick is usually very drying. To appease my lips' constant parched cries for help, I gave Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask a warm welcome into my life.

The smell alone was enough to sell me. This mask is legit a strawberry-banana smoothie on your lips 🍓🍌 ! I look forward to unscrewing the top and getting a good whiff of this stuff right before I apply and go to sleep. And it comes with the tiniest, most adorable pink spatula to fetch the product with; the lip mask is quite solid, so you'd actually have to scrape at it, and who knows what's living underneath your nails. 💀

Since it's quite thick (and you know, it has "sleeping" in its name), you should def use it at night. The container might appear small, but you only need a TINY bit (trust me, it spreads well and fast). As soon as it touches my lips, I feel like I'm doing something really good because it's *that rich* in moisture. I only use it maybe two or three times a week (though come winter, maybe every night), but every time I do, I wake up with pillow-soft lips devoid of all cracks, and that's all I can ask for. And my lipstick also applies more smoothly than usual 🙌. I will never stop wearing drying liquid lipsticks, so this is a good compromise. —Sarah Han

3. Tarte Tape Shape Concealer isn't a cult fave for no reason — it provides full *but* lightweight coverage that stays put all day, smoothes out acne scarring, and blends away any redness.

Jeff Barron / BuzzFeed

I’m still new to the makeup world, but I’ve been taking baby steps towards trying new things, and concealer is one of those. So if it sounds like I’m inexperienced, it’s because I AM. Growing up, I had some really terrible acne. And because of my poor self-control, I picked at pimples like an idiot. This left me with some scarring on the temples of my head. While they have faded a little with time, I don’t think they’ll ever 100% go away. Enter Tarte’s Shape Tape Concealer (I used light-medium honey in the photos, but light-medium would also work.)

I’m not the most practiced at applying makeup. And stuff like contouring is something I’m going to need WAY more time to get right. I’m using it mostly for spot coverage on my scarring, as well as on any redness I get on my forehead. I tried using it on under-eye areas, but it just didn’t feel quite right for me. One thing I appreciate is that it feels light, since I make it a point to only buy super-lightweight makeup. When I put on a few dots, it seemed almost too heavy initially, but then it blended out beautifully. Hours after putting it on, I’ll check up on my face and there are no issues with it fading — it’s like it has become one with my skin. My scarring is still there, but it’s MUCH less apparent. I’m not looking for something to completely hide the scars — they are just a part of me now. However, I would like them to not show up when I have a picture taken. I’m as self-conscious as anyone else, and if I can buy a little more peace of mind when I’m out and about, OF COURSE I’ll take it! —Jeff Barron

4. The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Essence Lotion goes above and beyond to satisfy your hydration needs for skin that stays soft and supple all damn day.

@skincare / Via instagram.com

When it comes to my face, I’m a huge fan of finding ways to make my skin care products more efficient. I am also a huge fan of keeping my skin as moisturized as possible — possibly too moisturized at times. So when I came across The Body Shop's Vitamin E Essence Lotion during a search for a new product to try out, I decided it would be my latest skin care test.

I use it twice a day — after washing my face in the morning and after washing my face and using my toner at night. And after just a month of use, my skin felt considerably smoother and more hydrated. The product has a very light scent that I also love. And the size of the bottle is large enough to last you a few months, depending on how often you use it.

I’ve used essence lotions before, to great success. Those left my skin feeling softer and moisturized throughout the day. And to be honest, the Vitamin E Essence holds up to previous ones I’ve used, like the Belif Hungarian Water Essence. But if you’re looking for a less pricey essence lotion or want to give a new one a try, this one is def worth your time. —Treye Green

5. Pantene 3-Minute Miracle Deep Conditioner is a quick and super-cheap hair mask that pulls its weight (especially in majestic nature photos).

Elizabeth Lilly / BuzzFeed, @pantene / Via instagram.com

I’ve been using some form of a hair mask off and on for more than a decade, and since I read some Nina Dobrev interview about her hair-mask routine, I’ve been using one about every other time I wash my hair. And when I don’t feel like spending a week’s worth of grocery money on a hair mask, I go for my drugstore brands. That’s where my current mainstay, Pantene 3-Minute Miracle, comes into play.

It does what other hair masks promise to do in just three minutes (instead of 10!), so there's less time spent awkwardly standing in the shower passing the time while my hair gets revitalized or whatever. It’s nearly up to par with my fave Kerastase mask. Nearly! My hair is naturally thick, wavy, and kinda coarse. So when I use any kind of conditioner or hair mask, I coat my hair thoroughly and gently use a wide-tooth comb to detangle in the shower while the potion is working its magic. I love a post-shower Wet Brush, but this is the best detangling trick I’ve found to date! (H/t to my childhood best friend Samantha’s mom for teaching me this conditioner-combo trick.)

I used this mask when I went on a family vacation out West and took lots of pics of myself to show my newfound outdoorsy-ness. (Lol, I am very indoorsy.) Exhibit A: This selfie I took standing in front of a cliff at the Badlands shows my hair looking extremely smooth and shiny in the dry, desert heat despite the wind whipping it around in a frenzy. Humidity, my usual nemesis, was basically nonexistent during my weeklong trip, thanks to this mask I used the night before my flight. —Elizabeth Lilly

6. Dr. Dana Nail Renewal System hits rewind on dry, uneven, and discolored nails and restores them to their proper shining glory — in just 15 minutes and three easy steps to boot!

Whitney Jefferson / BuzzFeed, drdanabeauty.com

I used to be incredibly obsessive about never EVER letting my fingernails be without polish. I was fast and great at doing a self-manicure and thought that plain nails looked boring and even sort of gross. But I was so wrong! Things change, people get older, and your priorities start to change — so in my search to regain more personal time and de-stress my entire sense of being, I started to care less about some of the more ~superficial~ things in life and eventually stopped caring about painting my nails.

But I wouldn't have been able to stare at my plain-looking nails all day without some help, and that's where Dr. Dana's Nail Renewal System came in. I'd used nail buffers in the past but nothing was as systematic as this regimen (and nothing worked as well, either!). Step one is a glycolic-drops pen that preps your nails for step two, where you sweep over your nails with the priming wand. Step three is a hydration formula that keeps your nails and cuticles looking nice, and that's it! It takes me about 15 minutes total (sometimes less). They recommend doing this once per week. For context, the GIF of my fingers in the "before" stage are after three weeks of not using the product (because I traveled for two weeks and forgot the kit at home).

The results I got were so much more DRAMATIC than any other buffer I'd ever used. My nails were literally sparkling. It looked like they had been painted with clear nail polish! So good! I recommend this product to everyone who loves their nails, polished or not! —Whitney Jefferson

7. Savor Beauty is a small-batch organic skin care line that makes Korean beauty simpler and more accessible — it breaks down the usual 10-step routine into four concentrated, luxurious, and nourishing steps.

Christina Lan / BuzzFeed

Before trying Savor Beauty's skin care line, I never had a specific moisturizing regimen, but in general, I used a serum and a moisturizer every morning and night. Given what others have said about my skin, I thought I had really healthy, dewy skin. That was until I visited an esthetician, who told me that I had dry, sensitive skin, milia, and dermatitis. Before this encounter, I had never heard of milia but at last, I could put a name to these small white cysts under my eyes that never seemed to go away.

Here's where this skin care routine comes in! I randomly attended a Korean beauty class, and by the end of it, I learned that I could take better care of my face in four steps (instead of the intimidating, highly popularized 10-step routine). After consulting with a few estheticians, I learned that I was getting cysts because I wasn't exfoliating enough, and just using a cleanser wasn't going to cut it. This line of products includes coconut jasmine makeup remover (step 0), pearl exfoliating cleanser (step 1), lavender toner (step 2), carrot rose retin oil (step 3), and truffle moisturizer (step 4). While I know none of this is revolutionary and most people probably follow a routine similar to this, I love using this line of products because it's easy to follow and smells like a literal spa.

The cleanser is a pearl exfoliating cream with rosewater and it feels like therapy on my face. It instantly relaxes my entire body and I'm pretty sure most of that has to do with the way it smells. The lavender toner is also a gift from the nature gods and I wish I had a human-sized bottle of it to spray onto my entire body every morning. I know that the number of skin care products in stores can be overwhelming, so if you're unsure of where to start and you want something that actually works, this line is the answer. Already, after a month of using them, my milia has disappeared and my moisture level, measured by Sephora's moisture meter, is apparently an 87 out of 100. YES, I fucking glow now. —Christina Lan

8. Luxie Blush Brush 514 is an Instagram-worthy accessory that deposits the perfect amount of color for a natural flush — it also pairs wonderfully with bronzer and loose powder.

Nichole Francois / BuzzFeed

Y’all, I know this not a super ~interesting~ beauty product, but I’m OBSESSED with Luxie’s 514 Blush Brush. I always seem to put on WAY too much blush with other brushes, but this brush deposits the perfect amount of rouge onto your cheeks (without making you totally look like a clown). The long bristles allow you to lightly tap powder blush (like Pacifica's Blushious Coconut & Rose Infused Cheek Color) onto your cheeks without going overboard. The end result? A beautiful, natural glow.

Bonus points: It’s great for dusting loose powder all over your face if you don’t want a super cakey face. I’ve also used it to bronze up my face, neck and décolletage with a powder bronzer. Note: This is not the brush to use for contour, as the bristles are loosely packed and you will not get a sharp edge. The 514 is great for softer or glowy looks. The best part? It’s a really cute brush to add to your collection. Its handle is pink with a rose gold accent. TBH, I’m starting to collect all Luxie brushes because they’re so stinkin’ cute. —Nichole Francois
