Lonca continued to hold on, protecting the officers and other pedestrians from being harmed. When the suspect finally surrendered, it became obvious Lonca had suffered multiple injuries. Steve rushed Lonca to an emergency veterinary hospital, where he received five stitches to his face and two staples to his front left paw. Lonca has fully recovered and is as fearless as ever.
