13 Funny Scenes From "We Are Lady Parts" That Prove It's The Best Comedy You're Not Watching Yet

    "What if poo comes?"

If you haven't heard of We Are Lady Parts, it's basically a brand new Channel 4 comedy about a Muslim punk rock band looking to make it big in London.

The whole series is brilliant and wickedly funny – here are just 13 of the best moments that made me laugh out loud!

    1. When Amina couldn't help but get flustered on her date with Ahsan.

    2. And later, when Amina's mum was equally into him, but was wayyy smoother about it than her daughter!

    3. When Amina's best friend Noor defended her in the most "Noor" way possible.

    4. When Bisma tried to make women feel better about getting their periods by creating a graphic novel and selling it a little too enthusiastically on the street.

    5. That scene when Amina let Lady Parts know that she categorically does NOT perform.

    6. When Bisma couldn't help but get fired up by Saira's anti-capitalist rant.

    7. When Amina got carried away imagining one of her marriage suitors as a Dothraki from Game of Thrones.

    8. And then when she had THIS elaborate daydream about dancing with Ahsan in her university's courtyard.

    9. When Bisma spectacularly called out her husband for being lowkey anti-feminist.

    10. When Amina gave this truly bizarre reading at a spoken word event in order to help overcome her stage fright.

    11. When Amina was worried she'd have a rather visceral reaction on stage at a Lady Parts audition.

    12. When Bisma told Amina that it didn't matter whose field they were in, and then later – when they were caught – Amina tried to repeat Bisma's speech but it just wasn't the right time.

    13. And lastly, when Amina decided she wanted to join Lady Parts for their first live gig, and her mum and dad showed up for her in a truly rock 'n' roll fashion!

We Are Lady Parts is now streaming on All4 and airing on Thursdays at 10pm on Channel 4 in the UK. It will also be available to stream on Peacock in the US from 3rd June!
