A Full "Heartstopper" Season 2 Trailer Is Finally Here, And I Cannot Wait For August Now

We're going to Paris, babyyy!

It's a big day in the Heartstopper fandom because Season 2 finally has a trailer! Check it out...

After the runaway success of series one, Heartstopper was renewed for a further two seasons in July last year, the first of which recently wrapped up filming just two months ago. The hit show has continued to be produced by See-Saw Films, with Euros Lyn directing and graphic novelist and creator of Heartstopper, Alice Oseman, at the helm as head writer.

Following the love story of Nick and Charlie – as depicted in the graphic novel of the same name – Heartstopper season 2 follows on from an incredibly well-received first season, which delighted viewers and critics alike!

Season one of the show was certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and received an enviable audience rating of 96%. It landed in the Top 10 list in a whopping 54 countries, has amassed nearly 11B views on TikTok, and has made its main cast huge stars.

Now we finally get to see what's next for Nick and Charlie, as they learn how to be in a relationship, and navigate obstacles such as Nick still being in the closet regarding his bisexuality.

The trailer features LOTS of kissing (yay), but also places focus on Nick's coming out journey. This has parallels with Kit Connor's own life (the actor came out as bi in November last year after feeling forced to answer accusations that he was queer-baiting with his role in Heartstopper).

We also get to catch up with Tao and Elle as they work out whether they can be more than just friends. Plus, Tao has cut his hair, which is a huge glow-up, if you ask me! (Ik the hair is canon, but come onnnnn).

Meanwhile Tara and Darcy face unforeseen challenges in their relationship, which mirror some of the struggles Nick and Charlie experience.

And there seems to even be love on the horizon for Isaac... Eeeek!!

And, of course, the whole gang will head to Paris, which as any good Heartstopper fan knows, is a big catalyst for a lot of changes in dynamics between characters.

Not gonna spoil anything, but since Charlie has a hickey in the trailer, I'm guessing most of the events of season two will be roughly the same as the novels!
