The "RuPaul's Drag Race UK Vs. The World" Cast Is Here, And I'm So Ready For This One

Hands up if you're excited!

For a long time, a version of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars in which queens from different franchises compete on a global stage was but a pipe dream. Well, those days are over!

Never one to do things by half measures, the Drag Race behemoth will be adding a brand new edition of the show to its already sizeable portfolio next month – RuPaul's Drag Race UK Versus The World... AKA "Drag Race International".

WOW Presents/Crave/BBC/VH1

The series will feature queens from pretty much all of the global Drag Race franchises, and be based in the host nation of the UK. I'm getting Eurovision vibes, but more... actually probably ~less~ camp tbh.

RuPaul's Drag Race UK judges Alan Carr and Graham Norton will appear alongside RuPaul and Michelle Visage, and guest judges will include the likes of Mel C, Daisy May Cooper, Jade Thirlwall, and my one true love Jonathan Bailey.

But who, WHO, would ever dare take on such a bold challenge, I hear you ask. Well, here are the nine queens taking part in series one of RuPaul's Drag Race UK Versus The World...

1. Pangina Heals

From: Bangkok, Thailand.

Previously appeared on: Drag Race Thailand S1 and S2.

Pangina is one of the most popular drag performers in Asia. She's known as the RuPaul of Thailand, and I guess that's why she's been the co-host of Drag Race Thailand since its inception in 2018. Although she's never actually ~competed~ on Drag Race before, Pangina is a fierce queen known for her lip-syncing and her celebrity impressions – including that of Lady Gaga and Mariah Carey!

Interesting fact: Her drag name is a portmanteau of season one contestant Ongina and her real name, Pan Pan.

2. Jimbo

From: Victoria, Canada.

Previously appeared on: Canada's Drag Race S1.

Also known as Jimbo The Drag Clown, Jimbo placed fourth on Canada's Drag Race, but won our hearts with her zany comedy and camp couture. Her performance in the Snatch Game as Joan Rivers earned Jimbo her only win of the series, although she was consistently safe throughout the show and proved a favourite with fans.

Interesting fact: Jimbo began performing as a clown in cabaret acts, gradually weaving in drag and her feminine side over the course of many years.

3. Monique Heart

From: New York, USA.

Previously appeared on: RuPaul's Drag Race S10 and RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars S4.

Drag Race fans will surely know Monique for her catchphrases, her cackling, and her cartwheels! The American queen struggled with her runways in her original season, but came back fighting in All Stars where she was a runner-up alongside Naomi Smalls. She currently has three challenge wins under her belt from previous seasons.

Interesting fact: Monique suffers from a skin condition called vitiligo, and has her own skincare range called MoBeauty.

4. Blu Hydrangea

From: Belfast, UK.

Previously appeared on: RuPaul's Drag Race UK S1.

Northern Irish queen Blu appeared on the inaugural season of Drag Race UK on which they placed fifth. Though Blu was immediately a forerunner for their amazing makeup skills, they also emerged a standout performer as one third of the spoof band, The Frock Destroyers. Blu won one challenge on their season, and was later voted as the season's Miss Congeniality.

Interesting fact: Blu is non-binary and uses the pronouns he/they/she! She also has a cease and desist from Mary Berry (I made up that but who knows, maybe she does).

5. Cheryl Hole

From: Essex, UK.

Previously appeared on: RuPaul's Drag Race UK S1.

Another Drag Race UK season one alum, Essex girl Chezza turned the party as the dancing diva of the series, making it all the way to fourth place. She earned accolades for her Snatch Game impression of Gemma Collins and lip synching abilities. She is an honorary member of the Haus of Edwards, and her name is a pun on English singer Cheryl Cole – not a pun meaning "share a hole"!

Interesting fact: Cheryl was previously in a drag tribute group called Gals Aloud alongside Kitty Scott-Claus from RuPaul's Drag Race UK season three.

6. Janey Jacké

From: Volendam, Netherlands.

Previously appeared on: Drag Race Holland S1.

Representing the Netherlands is Drag Race Holland runner-up, Janey! On her season, Janey won fan acclaim for her fierce fashion and her shady sense of humour. She won two challenges – including the opening runway challenge and the Rusical challenge – but was pipped to the post by Envy Peru.

Interesting fact: Janey is part of an extended Dutch drag family known as the House of Galore/the Mermaids Mansion, which also includes several of her season one competitors.

7. Lemon

From: Toronto, Canada.

Previously appeared on: Canada's Drag Race S1.

Trained dancer and straight-up rapstress Lemon placed fifth of the first season of Canada's Drag Race. She won two challenges, and formed a close friendship with eventual winner Priyanka, who she has since collaborated with on tracks such as "Come Through".

Interesting fact: She is drag-related to several famous New York queens including Rosé, Alexis Michelle, and Jan – who was at one point her roommate!

8. Baga Chipz

From: West Bromwich, UK.

Baga emerged a breakout star from the first season of Drag Race UK after she rose to the top due to her outrageous comedy. She placed third in the series overall, and won several challenges including the Snatch Game with The Vivienne. She is a fellow member of The Frock Destroyers alongside her RuPaul's Drag Race UK Versus The World co-star, Blu Hydrangea.

Interesting fact: In 2014, Baga appeared on Drag Queens of London – a London Live docuseries following drag queens in the capital. It's good, you should watch it.

9. Jujubee

From: Boston, USA.

Previously appeared on: RuPaul's Drag Race S2, RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars S1, RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars S5.

Drag Race stalwart Jujubee has been a fan-favourite since her first appearance back in 2010. From her stunning looks to her subtle yet hilarious comedy, Juju has all the makings of a winner. Despite this, she's only ever won one challenge on the show! Juju is also the only queen in Drag Race her-story to make the top three THREE TIMES.

Interesting fact: Juju's favourite contestant from the UK franchise is Baga because she "doesn’t take herself too seriously". Let's hope they got on IRL!
