    Khanna personally has won many fans for calling out everyone from regressive trolls to hyper-nationalists, regardless of which side of the political spectrum they lie on.

    Shortly after, a Twitter user questioned how Khanna can write “progressive” articles while her husband hangs out with Modi.

    In case you've spent the last three years under a giant, wifi-proof rock, you know that Modi isn't in the best favours with India's liberal population (of which Twinkle Khanna is a proud member). Reasons include but are not limited to: recent crackdowns on freedom of expression, appointments and endorsements of anti-Muslim officials and policies, and the perception that his government wants to broadly Hindufy and Hindify the country.

    But in a single tweet, Khanna shut down any talk of how she had to share the same stance as Kumar on all issues, just because he's her husband.
