A Lot Of People Think Rohan Joshi Is In "Bigg Boss" And It's Hilarious To Everyone Except Him

    "PLEASE RT TO SAVE ROHAN."

The current season of Bigg Boss, one of India's most-watched reality shows, has got fans tweeting in full force over the past few weeks.

One of the contestants yet to be voted out this year is TV star, model, and Twitter user Rohan Mehra.

Now meet Rohan Joshi – comedian, dude with 2.4 million Twitter followers, and NOT a Bigg Boss contestant.

As you may have noticed, these are two very different people, with two very different Twitter handles...

Unfortunately, Bigg Boss fans seem to be unaware of this fact, and have been confusing Mehra with Joshi this entire season.

"All these fans of his bots keep tagging me in posts. Haters also. So randomly someone will tweet at me saying 'Dekha! Gossip karoge logo ke baare mein toh yehi hoga'," Joshi told BuzzFeed.

"Apparently, a few weeks ago some swami threw urine at Rohan, which sounds about right as far as 'just every day things that happen to people named Rohan' go."

The mix-up seems to have been caused by an algorithm that displays Joshi and Bigg Boss as the top results whenever someone searches for "Rohan" on Twitter.

Joshi has exasperatedly tried to clear the misconception on multiple occasions, but it's not been going well...

    Not well at all.

Joshi's friends have caught on and, like all good friends, piled on the misery for him.

And his colleagues have taken it a step further by just confirming the falsehood.

"Now people tag my handle in polls or 'PLEASE RT TO SAVE ROHAN' and every time my heart sinks because I immediately wonder who threw what bodily fluid on him now BC," Joshi lamented.

With Mehra himself being locked in the house and unable to clarify things, Joshi now has a new tactic – to embrace his new followers and encourage them even more.

But it's doubtful that things are going to improve any time soon.

"I watched the first three seasons with a passion so intense it's practically indecent. But I only enjoy the first few weeks, when it's a giant scrum," Joshi said about his thoughts on the show.
