Scooter said it all started when Bieber turned 18.

And that Bieber's perspective may be different from other people's because he doesn't remember a lot of it.

Scooter said he felt as though he failed Justin.

"It wasn't until one day, something happened," Scooter added. "[Justin] called me and said, 'This happened. Enough is enough. I need to make a change.' He asked me to help him because I had been doing the research and had the resources to do so."

He said he helped Justin as much he possibly could.

The interviewer then asked Scooter if he ever thought "This might be over." His answer is pretty heartbreaking.

To me, the only point I had, where 'Is it over?' wasn't a scary career over. I thought I was going to lose him. I thought he was going to die. That was the scariest point because he was an adult. I couldn't force him to stay next to me. There were points where I didn't know if, in the morning, he was going to be there. I was petrified.

The good news is that Justin seems to be in a really good place right now and living his best life. Good for him. 👏
