According to review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, The Morning Show is "flashy, but somewhat frivolous" and "often feels more like a vanity project than the hard-hitting drama it aspires to be — but there is pleasure to be had in watching Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon give it their all."
Some reviews praised the new show, but a lot of major publications (Rolling Stone, Time, IndieWire) criticized it for being "tone-deaf," frustrating, and boring, respectively.

Full review of Morning Show will be out on Friday but basically, here’s my take, it’s fine. But it’s $15 million/epsoode budget makes it bad becuase at that level you don’t have the excuse of being constrained by limitation. It should have been a $5 million show with semi-knowns.

This is not a review just a thought. I don't think the general public has the same interest in how the media works as the media does. Behind the scenes of a morning show would not be my choice as a flagship show for my service.
