In February, an electric door at the University of Mainz in Germany broke down. Maintenance for the school hung up a sign saying, "techniker ist informiert" or "the technician has been informed."
The next day, the door still wasn't fixed, so someone hung up a sign saying the technician was broken. The day after that a second notice appeared.
And then the whole joke spiraled so far out of control that over the next few days, people had covered the door, and walls around the door, with printed out memes.
Well, it seems as though the story of the German Meme Door isn't over.
