A Little Girl Asked Wil Wheaton For Help Dealing With Being Bullied And He Nailed It

“When a person is cruel to you like that, and I know that it’s hard, but honestly, the kind and best reaction is to pity them.”

1. This video of Wil Wheaton from June recently started trending hard on Facebook and for good reason.

2. A little girl who was in the audience of a panel Wil was at during Denver Comic Con in June asked him about his own experiences with bullying growing up.

4. His answer perfectly put and afterwards there reportedly wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

6. In response to the recent attention the video has received, Wil wrote up a blog post about the experience and about bullying in general.

7. And according to his Twitter, all the attention is definitely weird, but something he’s totally cool with.

Um… I’m trending on Facebook? That’s … weird. I guess I should go be an asshole in public, or something.

Seriously, though, if all I’m remembered for is telling a little girl that it’s OK to be a nerd, and to be compassionate, I’m ok with that.
