.This "real cheeseburger," which was just announced for Burger King locations across Thailand, is...yep, a "real" cheeseburger, alright.
.You're just gonna have to trust me here, but this photo is from Pizza Hut in China — which is more like a full-service restaurant over there. These are their wings (!) and a bubbly-crust pineapple and mushroom pizza (!!) that are both rocking my world.
.I'll take a large poutine from Canadian Wendy's, please.
.An egg, sausage, corn, and "twisty pasta" noodle bowl from Hong Kong McDonald's, complete with literal tonkotsu broth.
.If you thought KFC's Double Down (where they use fried chicken instead of buns) was good, let me introduce you to an item unique to the Philippines: the Double Down Dog.
.Also in the Philippines, though over at McDonald's: McSpaghetti and the Chicken McDo.
.Until someone figures out how to order this thing off the secret menu, I'd sell my soul to get a taste of this churro Frappuccino from Starbucks in the UK.
.And speaking of items I'd sell my soul to taste: the Maharaja Mac from McDonald's in India, which features breaded chicken patties and jalapeños — and is low-key twice the height of an American Big Mac.
.Supposedly, KFC in Thailand makes Bangkok-style street food in order to compete with roadside stalls. Like, this is a Thai street food dish called chicken zabb, but with chunks of KFC chicken instead.
.In case you were missing it, the Cheesy Core Burrito is a permanent item in Japanese Taco Bell locations.
.And also in Japan, McDonald's deep-fried "croquette burgers" are called Gracoro. This one is apparently filled with mac 'n' cheese.
.Burger King in Italy has grana padano burgers and chicken sandwiches, which use Italian grana padano cheese in lieu of traditional cheese slices.
.Y'all, these happy hour specials at Taco Bell in Spain, including TWO BEERS, must be seen to be believed.
But it's the bacon and cheese Top Fries for me. Five euro for all of this.
.Speaking of bacon and cheese, the Papas Supremas at Mexico Burger King locations have a cult-like following...and I get it.
.Maybe this won't blow your socks off, but it's worth mentioning that several McDonald's locations in the Netherlands have gluten-free menus. Like, this McDonald's bun literally contains no gluten.
.You've now arrived at the very important South Korea section. First up: McDonald's Corn Pie, which I'd imagine is just like the fried apple pie but with a sweet corn filling instead.
.They also sell COLESLAW!
And it looks pretty darn good, TBH.
.Korean KFC locations have a donkatsu (fried pork) sandwich, and I dunno about you, but I can hear the crunch.
.Not to be dramatic, but the Egg Bulgogi burger is now on my McDonald's bucket list...
...and their Big Macs are served with cardboard rings around them so they don't get smushed and flattened in transit.
.Last for South Korea: Over at KFC, they're selling Portuguese egg tarts for dessert.
.We're nearing the end, folks, and I feel like it's only a matter of time before US Domino's locations get the new pickle pizza they're serving in Japan.
.Also, here's this matcha-flavored McFlurry from McDonald's in Vietnam that, I'm sorry, would truly be 10x better than plain 'ol boring vanilla.
.And finally, for better or for worse, I leave you with Taiwanese Pizza Hut's Oreo-stuffed crust pizza with calamari and popcorn chicken.
If you've ever tried a fast food item abroad that you simply can't stop thinking about it, tell me about it in the comments below — bonus points if you leave a photo!
