We Asked English People How Much They Knew About Scotland And It Could Have Gone Better

Let's hope people have made their minds up before reading this...

With Scotland set to go to the polls regarding a little thing called independence, we asked some English people how much they knew about life north of the border.

BBC / Via socialitelife.com

We asked 16 members of our London office:

1) Who is the patron saint of Scotland?

2) What is the unofficial national anthem of Scotland, often sung by their rugby and football teams before matches?

3) Identify a Scottish island from its outline.

4) Name the first minister of Scotland.

5) After Glasgow and Edinburgh, what is the largest Scottish city by population?

6) What is the national dish of Scotland?

7) Draw the England/Scotland border on to a map.

Here's a selection of some of the best (and worst) responses. We're sorry. And never forget...
