Lee Weir is a massive fan of The Simpsons but his father wouldn’t allow him to watch the show when he was growing up. So Weir got his own back in rather spectacular fashion.

The 27-year-old, who hails from from Auckland, New Zealand, has broken the world record for the most tattoos of the same cartoon character by covering his body in images of Homer Simpson.

“I was never allowed to watch The Simpsons growing up as my dad was a real-life Ned Flanders,” he said.

'”He wouldn't let me watch as it depicted the father and the head of the household to be a buffoon.

'But I've always enjoyed watching the show in later life, and it feels incredible to be a record-breaker.”
