People Are Confessing The "Weird" Things They Do, And I Guess I've Never Had A Unique Experience In My Life

"I prefer eating cold pizza that’s been in the fridge overnight to hot, fresh pizza."

We're all humans, but some of us have very strange habits. I was reminded of this when u/Shlegnog asked the people of Reddit, "What’s something you do that you’re pretty sure is normal, but you don’t know for sure?" And honestly, I was not prepared.

Out of these responses that stood out to me, I'm curious to know how many of y'all also do the same thing. Let's find out:

1. "I have imaginary conversations with people that I know will never actually happen in real life."

2. "Whenever I haven't talked to a person for a couple of hours, I just say something out loud to test if my voice still exists."

3. "If I’m in bed and I need to fart, I’ll lift the blanket and pull down my pants to fart so the smell doesn’t get trapped in my pants or the bed."

4. "I wet my toothbrush, put on the toothpaste, and then wet it again. I've always wondered if this was normal but never asked."

5. "Putting my hands on my pockets where I keep my phone and wallet when I closely pass by someone, just in case they may be a pickpocket."

6. "I cancel plans by actually saying I changed my mind instead of making up an excuse."

7. "I daydream constantly. I'll sit there and be imagining I'm the hero of some story, or I just won a billion dollars and how I'm spending it. I just have an imagination I get lost in when nothing is happening."

8. "I read another thread from a guy who said he only wiped once after pooping, and he was certain that he didn't need more than one wipe to get the job done. I definitely use multiple wipes until the tissue is clean, but now I'm questioning: Are there secretly a bunch of (literal) nasty-ass people out there?"

9. "I have horrible intrusive thoughts that pop in without a warning or trigger. It's usually the standard What if I drove off the side of this bridge or I bet it would hurt to stab myself with this thing, but they can even be worse. I was washing dishes yesterday. My wife was heading to our bedroom to pick something up. For some reason, I imagined her grabbing my gun and shooting herself."

10. "Whenever I dig into my belly button, I'll sniff my fingers after. Even though I know it's going to be nasty, I still do it for fun."

11. "I spend 20 minutes on the toilet when, really, I could be done in less than three minutes. It’s like a sanctuary."

12. "Even if it's the middle of a rainstorm, I'll still walk my dog."

13. "When I'm reading a book with a hard cover, I often tap my nails against the cover. I can't help it, the sound is too good."

14. "I squeeze my ass when I’m bored or alone or just want to feel my body. Like when I’m waiting for something or bored while I’m standing, I'll lean my hips left to right while standing in one place and slap the sides of my ass with my hands."

15. "If I'm out in public, like the grocery store, school pickup line, or doctor's office, I'll have a quick thought of, I wonder if anyone is reading my mind right now. Quick! Don't think of anything weird!"

"Then I proceed to automatically start thinking of weird stuff, trying to tell this imaginary mind reader that I'm totally not a weird person, or just side-eyeing people I see."

16. "I always feel like I'm looked at suspiciously when I leave a store without buying anything."

17. "Whenever I leave a spot I've been sitting in outside, I make sure to look back and check if I've dropped anything."

u/consciously_comad

18. "When I add 7 + 4, I break up the 4 into 3+1...7+3 is obviously 10, and 10+1=11. There are several other examples of math problems I break up in my head to make solving easier."

19. "I significantly change my personality based on who I'm interacting with."

20. "I prefer eating cold pizza that’s been in the fridge overnight to hot, fresh pizza."

21. "I look at each side of a potato or Doritos chip to determine which side I want to put against my tongue."

22. "I smell my fingers after I touch my balls."

23. "When I'm cooking, I test for seasoning by rubbing some of the food in my eyes. Depending on how much it burns, I'll know if it needs more salt or not."

24. "I eat my cereal with warm or hot milk. I can’t stand cold foods, and I enjoy soggy cereals. My siblings think I’m a monster when it’s the height of summer and I’m enjoying my warm, soggy cereal."

u/DepressedPathologist

25. And finally: "I clear a notification off my phone as soon as I get it, delete most of my texts after a few days, and then swipe up to close any open pages or apps at the end of the day."
