This Artist Makes Minor Changes To Birds And The Results Are Hilarious

    A hummingbird. A ninja bird.

Teo Zirinis is a 32-year-old freelance illustrator based in Athens, Greece.

He has an almost endless supply of amazingly witty illustrations.

And his series of birds is no exception.

"It started when I drew a Toucan and instead of giving him a beak I drew a big taco on his face just for fun," he told BuzzFeed.

"I thought it would be a fun and creative exercise to try and come up with other quirky attributes for other species of birds, and turn the whole thing into an entertaining little series."

"I usually do rough sketches of pretty much every idea that comes to me throughout the day, no matter how silly or random it might be, and then I pick my favorites and work on them until I'm satisfied with the result. "

Lucky for us the results are hilarious.

You'll never look at pelicans the same.

"I hope that my work makes people smile, and they get a good giggle out of it," he says.

He spent a lot of time researching birds and facts on the different species: "I actually ended up learning quite a bit on the subject."
