My grandma always says it sarcastically, like in an “omg you dumb ass” sort of way. But as you said, most people do mean well when they say this.

Might be south Florida/central Florida. Though where I live it’s mostly used to describe someone who’s for lack of a better word, not hip to what’s going on culturally around them. Someone not cool. Someone who doesn’t know something maybe because they’re too pure?

I use an app called Rain Rain. It has many sounds on it, even sounds of dogs and cats snoring but I find listening to the sounds of rain on a car door (very specific lol) very satisfying and I have trouble falling asleep without it!
