On Thursday at Premio Lo Nuestro, after Marc Anthony won Tropical Artist of the Year, he took the moment to deliver poignant message about being Latino in the U.S.
Marc Anthony began in Spanish, "There is something happening in this country. Wherever you're from, whether it's from Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, when we come to this country, we all check one box and it says Latino."
"There are some forces against us that, dare I say, are racist."
"As long as we take care of each other, I will feel Peruvian, I will feel Colombian, because in this country I am Latino! We are Latinos! And we have to take care of each other."
