A Cut "Avengers: Endgame" Post-Credit Scene Featuring Wanda And Vision Is Making "WandaVision" Even More Heartbreaking

2021 is just the year Wanda Maximoff makes me cry every week, huh?

🚨There are MASSIVE spoilers ahead for WandaVision and Avengers: Endgame!🚨

For the last few weeks, all I've been able to think about is WandaVision.

Mostly because I am a massive nerd for the comic book storylines that are seemingly coming to life AND Wanda Maximoff is one of my favorite Marvel characters of all time.

Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff in "Avengers: Infinity War"

So, I've been watching and reading everything I can about WandaVision, and that's when I came across an interview with Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen where they talk about a cut post-credit scene from Avengers: Endgame.

And, let's just say, it somehow makes what is happening in WandaVision all the more heartbreaking.

In the interview with IMDb, Paul reveals that he was almost in a post-credit scene with Elizabeth where Wanda finds Vision's body.

"At one point, there was going to be a tag where you [Wanda] opened a sort of body bag drawer and there was the Vision."

Paul revealed that Kevin Feige eventually said they had to cut the scene, and Paul was actually super bummed because he wanted to be in Endgame in some way.

I'm telling you right now that I would not have been able to handle watching Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda WEEPING over Vision's dead body (again), so for my own health, I'm glad this was cut.

While the moment would've been heartbreaking then, it's even more devastating after the events of WandaVision Episode 4.

In the fourth episode, entitled "We Interrupt This Program," we learn that not much time has passed since Hulk snapped everyone back into existence — Monica returns to S.W.O.R.D. only three weeks after re-appearing.

Maria saying, "No, I can't. I can't leave Monica" and Carol saying, "When they were handing out kids they gave her the toughest one. Lieutenant Trouble"

So, this means the cut post-credit scene from Endgame is likely the last thing Wanda did before creating this version of Westview.

Vision telling Wanda, "I think something's wrong here, Wanda"

Basically, reuniting with Vision's dead body causes her to create this reality where they can still be together.

Vision saying that they can go "wherever" they want, and Wanda responding, "No, we can't. This is our home. Don't worry darling, I have everything under control"

There's also a moment where Wanda sees what Vision looked like right after Thanos ripped the Mind Stone from his head in Infinity War, which brings up several devastating questions.

Vision's dead face asking Wanda, "What is it? What's wrong?"

Is Wanda actually puppeteering and/or projecting a consciousness onto Vision's dead body? Or do Vision (and their twins) only exist when Wanda is thinking of them? That's why we saw Vision's dead body, because she was thinking of him dead.

Long story short, this cut post-credit scene is just another link to how Wanda went from Tony Stark's funeral to creating an entire reality so she could be with Vision.

Basically, I am deeply invested in WandaVision and can't stop thinking about how much pain Wanda is in.
