"Haunting Of Hill House" Is Officially Coming Back For Season 2 And I'm Already Theorizing

This new setting is going to be amazing!

In case you've been living under a rock, Netflix's The Haunting of Hill House was one of the most talked about shows of 2018 — I mean, even Stephen King had something to say about it.

THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE, revised and remodeled by Mike Flanagan. I don't usually care for this kind of revisionism, but this is great. Close to a work of genius, really. I think Shirley Jackson would approve, but who knows for sure.

And if you're like me and are still obsessing over it, you're in luck — Netflix just announced that the show is coming back for Season 2!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy will be bringing the series back for an anthology-like Season 2.

Season 2 will have no connection to Season 1 and will focus on an entirely new mystery.

And in typical Haunting of Hill House fashion, the announcement itself already has hidden clues for the new season.

A new Haunting is coming. Can you guess where it takes place? Listen closely...

If you listen closely, the muffled voice in the teaser says: "The terrace and the whole place, the lawn and the garden beyond it, all I could see of the park, were empty with a great emptiness."

If you look up the quote it's from the 1898 horror story The Turn of the Screw by Henry James.

And, if Season 1 is any indication, the setting will once again be extremely important. So, The Turn of the Screw takes place in a London country house named Bly Manor.

Therefore, Season 2 will officially be called The Haunting of Bly Manor.

You guessed it. The HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR, a new chapter in the Haunting series based on the works of Henry James, is coming in 2020.

While we'll have to wait until 2020 for Season 2, I can assure you I'll be rewatching Season 1 in preparation.

Guys, I've never been so excited for more ghosts in my entire life.
