17 "Ms. Marvel" Details And Easter Eggs From The Finale That Are Small And Important, But You Might've Missed Them

The Ms. Marvel finale seemingly hints at a huge introduction in the MCU, so you can catch me yelling about it for the foreseeable future.

🚨 Warning: There are MASSIVE spoilers ahead for Ms. Marvel Episode 6 on Disney+! 🚨

    1. First, the Ms. Marvel finale is titled "No Normal," which is a nod to the Ms. Marvel Vol. 1 comic from 2014. The comic was titled No Normal. It was written by G. Willow Wilson, and Adrian Alphona did the art.

    2. During the opening credits, you can see that one of the title cards says, "Ms. Marvel Est. 2014 Jersey." This is a nod to Kamala Khan's Ms. Marvel comics, which started in 2014.

    3. When Kamala's mom gives her the brand-new Ms. Marvel costume she had made, you can see it's wrapped in a toffees box. In Episode 4, Kamala's grandmother has a ton of toffee boxes in her apartment because Kamala's mom loved that candy.

    4. When Bruno and Kamran need a disguise to escape the mosque, Sheikh Abdullah gives them simple baseball caps. This is a nod to the running Marvel joke where various superhero disguises are just hats, like Steve and Natasha in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Wanda in Captain America: Civil War.

    5. Now, the absolutely perfect reveal of Kamala's costume is so good, and the design is a nod to her Ms. Marvel look in the comics. Her signature colors in the comics are red and blue and she wears a red scarf and has a lightning bolt on her chest.

    6. When Kamala calls Kareem and the Red Daggers asking for help, you'll notice that the Red Daggers map they use to track the Noor has shifted once again since Episode 4.

    7. When Kamala is walking everyone through the plan for how to stall Damage Control, you can see she wrote down the ingredients for the gooey explosion she and Bruno cook up.

The recipe calls for hydrogen peroxide, dry yeast, warm water, and liquid dish soap

    8. When Damage Control attacks the school, you'll notice they are using sonic blasting weapons, which is something General Ross used in The Incredible Hulk, though his were much larger.

    9. When Zoe goes live and asks her followers to come to the high school and help stop Damage Control, you'll notice someone comments, "#Avengers go to Coles High! Zo needs you!" Another comment mentions they are on I-78, aka the interstate that runs through Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York.

    10. In the finale, we see Kamran use the full extent of his powers for the first time. In the Ms. Marvel comics, Kamran's powers include being able to transfer energy to any object, and he often glows blue/white. His powers appear to be very similar in the show.

    11. When Kamala is fighting off Damage Control and trying to save Kamran, she says "embiggen," which I freaked out over because this is a direct nod to the Ms. Marvel comics, where Kamala can alter her size to be really small or really big.

    12. When everyone is posting TikToks about Kamala's fight outside the school with Damage Control, you can see one of the users is "@MasterPaul616." "616" is likely a nod to Earth-616 from the Marvel comics, which is the primary Earth where the main Marvel timeline happens.

    13. Kamala's dad tells her that her name is based on the word "kamal" in Urdu, which means "marvel," and I love that Kamala's Ms. Marvel superhero name has this backstory now. In the comics, Kamala takes up the Ms. Marvel mantle from Carol Danvers, who used to use the superhero identity Ms. Marvel.

    14. Toward the end of the finale, we see Kamala sitting on a lamp post in her Ms. Marvel outfit as she looks out at the city. This is a reference to the iconic Ms. Marvel Issue #5 cover art.

    15. Okay, OKAY, okay. I'm gonna try and remain calm, but at the end of the finale, Bruno mentions to Kamala that there is a "mutation" in her DNA. While he says this, the X-Men: The Animated Series iconic theme song can be heard. This is HUGE and is one of our biggest hints that the X-Men and mutants are likely joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

    16. In the post-credits scene, Brie Larson makes her return as Captain Marvel when Kamala is suddenly whisked away. Marvel seemingly debunked the theory that Kamala shapeshifts into Carol Danvers here (sorry, fans, it's me, I'm "fans," of her comic book powers). This moment was directed by The Marvels director Nia DaCosta, who was already shooting the upcoming MCU film with Brie and Iman Villani at the time, so Marvel decided to use this moment as the post-credits scene.

    17. And finally, I know I might be overthinking everything, but we saw Captain Marvel in the Shang-Chi post-credits scene, where Wong, Carol, and Bruce explain that when Shang-Chi used the Ten Rings, a beacon was sent out. Like, could Kamala's bangle be doing the same thing?! Is this why Kamala and Carol swapped places, because Carol was out looking for her?! Does this explain why the Ten Rings symbol was in Ms. Marvel Episode 4?! Is it all connected to the Noor?! Y'all, I have questions.

Well, there you have it! Hope you've enjoyed my Ms. Marvel nerdy details ramblings. Gonna take a break and will be back for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, which starts streaming on Aug. 17 on Disney+.
