🚨 Warning: There are MASSIVE spoilers ahead for Moon Knight Episode 2 on Disney+! 🚨
Hi, hello, and welcome back to these chaotic Marvel posts where I try to break down every detail or cool Easter egg. So, here's everything I noticed in Moon Knight Episode 2, "Summon the Suit":

1. First, JB, the museum's security guard, continues to call Steven "Scotty" at the beginning of this episode. I'd like to think this is a nod to Scott Williams, who has worked on numerous Marvel comics, including Moon Knight.
2. Steven's HR rep from the museum suggests that he go see a doctor, who might be able to help him sort everything out. In the comics, Marc's relationship with therapists plays a big role in several comic book runs of Moon Knight.
3. Just like in Episode 1, this episode features some great cinematography that alludes to Marc/Steven's multiple personalities. When Steven has to turn in his museum name tag, you can see Steven's reflection in the table, symbolizing his relationship with Marc.
4. When Steven goes searching for Marc's storage unit — and learns more about Marc — you'll notice it's #43. This could be a reference to Marc Spector: Moon Knight Issue #43, which deals with Moon Knight fighting doppelgängers of several characters, like Daredevil.
5. Also, yes, you can scan the QR code you see on the entrance to Marc's storage locker. Once you do, it'll take you to a Marvel website where you can read a free Moon Knight comic issue.
6. When Steven finds Marc's passport, you'll notice it says he's from Illinois. This is a nod to the Moon Knight comics, where Marc Spector was born in Chicago, Illinois.
7. When Steven is fleeing the storage facility, we get our first proper look at Khonshu, who is voiced by F. Murray Abraham. Khonshu's design in the series is taken directly from the Moon God's look in the Marvel comics, and it's so perfect.
8. While Steven is riding on the back of Layla's motorcycle, we find out that Layla and Marc are actually married. While Layla, who is played by May Calamawy, is not a comic book character, she seems to be the MCU's version of Marlene Alraune. In the Moon Knight comics, Marlene falls in love with Marc and she helps him with his Moon Knight identity. Eventually, the duo have a child together too.
9. When Steven takes Layla to his flat, they recite "Les Séparés" by Marceline Desbordes-Valmore. This French poem talks about someone loving someone else who is no longer with them and asking them not to write. Layla and Steven recite the first line of the poem, which translates to, "Do not write. I am sad and want my light put out. Summers in your absence are as dark as a room."
10. The two agents working for Harrow who arrive at Steven's front door are named Bobbi and Billy. In the comics, Bobby and Billy also serve Ammit and work as orderlies at a mental hospital that is holding Marc Spector. The characters appeared in Jeff Lemire's iconic Moon Knight comic books, which began in 2016. These comics are big influences for the show.
11. If you look closely, you can see that Marc's case file number is "1975," which matches Marc Spector/Moon Knight's first ever Marvel comics appearance. He first appeared in Werewolf By Night Issue #32, which was published in 1975. This is also the free Moon Knight issue you get to read if you scan the QR code featured earlier in the episode.
12. Bobbi also explains that Marc is part of a group of mercenaries who hit a dig site in Egypt. This connects to Marc's comic book story. In the comics, Marc was on a mission in Egypt when he died and was resurrected by Khonshu, thus becoming Moon Knight.
13. When Harrow is showing Steven around his London compound and introducing him to several of his followers, he mentions Victor being from the Yucatan. In the comics, Arthur Harrow conducted his illegal Nazi experiments in the Yucatan before Moon Knight stopped him.
14. Harrow tells Steven that he was Khonshu's former "avatar" before Marc Spector. In the comics, there are several avatars who come before Marc, but Harrow is not one of them.
15. Harrow explains to Steven that he's not the "Fist of Vengeance" anymore, and this is a nod to the Moon Knight comics. There's a moment in the Avengers Age of Khonshu story arc in 2020 when Moon Knight merges with Ghost Rider's Spirt of Vengeance team to become "Fist of Vengeance."
16. Also, this could be a nod to Moon Knight often being referred to as "Fist of Khonshu" throughout his many appearances and comic books in the Marvel comics.
17. When Steven finally "summons the suit," the outfit is a perfect nod to the 2014 Moon Knight comic books. The iconic white Moon Knight suit was first introduced in Moon Knight #1 by Warren Ellis, Declan Shalvey, and Jordie Bellaire.
18. Also, I love that Steven does a classic Marvel superhero landing pose when he first uses the Mr. Knight suit. Yelena would 100% be making fun of him for it.
19. When Steven lands in the street, you can see an ad on the double-decker bus behind him that reads, "GRC: Reuniting you with your better half." The GRC, or the Global Repatriation Council, was first introduced in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and it's a council that tries to reunite those who were blipped by Thanos with their families. This is the first Easter egg that connects Moon Knight to the larger MCU.
20. Also, on the top of the double-decker bus, you can spot the number "32." This is likely a nod to Werewolf By Night Issue #32, which was the first Marvel comic Moon Night appeared in.
21. And finally, I just love that the Mr. Knight suit is related to when Steven fights for Khonshu, while the traditional Moon Knight costume is for Marc. It's just a clever way to get both comic versions of the Moon Knight costume into the series.
