20 Reactions That Perfectly Sum Up Everyone's Love For Amy After Greta Gerwig's "Little Women"

"Leave it to Florence Pugh to make me fall in love with and root for Amy March."

    🚨Obviously MASSIVE spoilers ahead!🚨

Little Women has officially hit theaters and TBH, it was my favorite movie of 2019.

And while I loved the entirety of Greta Gerwig's retelling of this classic story, I can't stop thinking about Florence Pugh's performance as Amy March.

Okay, but can we talk about how Florence Pugh and Greta Gerwig took Amy and turned her into a character that I ended up loving, rooting for, and understanding better than ever before. Florence really found the love that was inside Amy #LittleWomen

Just like every iteration of Little Women, Amy is dealing with being second to Jo — both in life, and when it comes to Laurie's love.

But in this version, instead of coming across as a spoiled younger sister, Amy is finally shown as being a strong woman who struggles to find her place.

Like me, the rest of the internet feels the same way about Florence's performance as Amy and how it has changed their perception of the character. Here are some of the best reactions:

When they said #LittleWomen was a delightful twist of the classic they really just meant Florence Pugh deserves an Oscar for finally convincing us Amy & Laurie are the meant to be instead of Laurie & Jo

It takes a true act of genius to make me loathe Amy March *less* (my grudge against this literary character has lasted for YEARS), and thanks to Greta Gerwig's script and Florence Pugh's acting that was accomplished.

Everyone relates to Jo March, rebellious, smart, determined. I’m more of an Amy, dramatic, petty, nice ankles.

Greta Gerwig is a genius in empathy and in telling human feelings. Saoirse and Timothée have the expected great chemistry. What was totally unexpected? Timothée and Florence’s perfection as a couple. Amy & Laurie will stay with me for a while, very close to my heart. #LittleWomen
