35 "Avengers: Endgame" Details That'll Make You Say, "How Did I Not Notice That?!"

Korg's shirt matches one Taika Waititi wore to Comic Con in 2017.

🚨Warning: There are MASSIVE spoilers for Avengers: Endgame in this post, so proceed with caution.🚨

    1. First, when Avengers: Endgame opens, the Marvel studios logo only features the characters that were not dusted by Thanos, instead of every character.

    2. Stan Lee's cameo involves him driving outside Camp Lehigh in 1970, listening to "Hey Lawdy Mama," and yelling, "Make love, not war!"

    3. When Hawkeye is on the farm with his family, you can see that he's wearing an ankle monitor — after Captain America: Civil War, he was put on house arrest for his involvement, like Scott Lang.

    4. When Tony leaves Pepper a farewell message in his Iron Man helmet, he tells her not to share it on social media. This is a nod to Iron Man, when Tony tells a young soldier not to post their picture.

    5. In fact, tons of other Marvel movies are referenced in Endgame, including when Tony mentions his conversation with Steve from Age of Ultron.

    6. Also, when Thor decapitates Thanos and remarks that he "went for the head," it's a reference to Thanos telling him he should've done just that in Infinity War.

    7. Planet 0259-S, the planet that Thanos escapes to after the snap could refer to The Avengers #259 comic that features The Avengers teaming up with Nebula and Captain Marvel.

    8. Director Joe Russo makes a brief appearance as a member of Steve's grief support group — his character is also the first openly gay character in the MCU.

    9. Also, Jim Starlin, who created Thanos in the comics, is another member of the grief support group.

    10. When Scott emerges from the Quantum Realm, he's trapped in storage unit 616 along with all of his stuff — Earth-616 is the primary Earth in the Marvel comics.

    11. Ken Jeong and Yvette Nicole Brown, who both starred on Community, appear as a security guard and a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent respectively.

    12. Also, Ken Jeong's character is reading The Terminal Beach by J.G. Ballard, which includes a short story called "End-Game."

    13. When Scott is desperately looking for Cassie's name on the dusted memorial, some of the other names are people who worked on various Marvel movies.

    14. Tony refers to Doctor Strange as the "Bleecker Street Magician" — the New York Sanctum where Doctor Strange works is located at 177A Bleecker Street.

    15. Hulk's new look in Endgame is a nod to Professor Hulk, who is seen in certain iterations of The Hulk comics.

    16. Thor settles New Asgard in Tønsberg, Norway, which is the place Odin called home before dying in Thor: Ragnarok.

    17. When Korg is playing Fortnite with Thor and Miek, he's wearing a shirt that matches the romper Taika Waititi wore to Comic Con in 2017.

    18. While figuring out their time heist plan, Hulk eats a giant pint of the Ben & Jerry's ice cream that's named after him, Hulk-A-Hulk-A-Burning-Fudge.

    19. Carol Danvers's short haircut mimics her character's look in the Captain Marvel comic books.

    20. When the team gets ready to go into the Quantum Realm, their hands plus the floor mimic the design of Tony's original arc reactor.

    21. When Captain America says "Hail Hydra" in order to steal Loki's scepter, it's a nod to a shocking comic book reveal that involved Steve Rogers being a Hydra agent.

    22. When Thor and Rocket arrive on Asgard in 2013, all of the Asgardians call Rocket a rabbit, just like Thor did.

    23. When Steve breaks into Hank Pym's lab at Camp Lehigh, you can spot the original Ant-Man helmet from the comics on his desk.

    24. When Tony says goodbye to his dad, we learn that Tony's A.I. system is named after Howard Stark's driver, Jarvis — he's played by James D'Arcy, who portrayed Jarvis in the Agent Carter TV series.

    25. When Hawkeye attacks the Chitauri after The Avengers headquarters collapses, the scene mirrors a similar moments from Alien.

    26. Howard the Duck can be seen behind Hope during the big battle with Thanos after all of The Avengers come through the portals.

    27. After all of the dusted Avengers return, Captain America utters the iconic comic book line "Avengers assemble" before battling Thanos.

    28. After giving Scott a hard time for referring to Captain America as "Cap," Hope ends up calling him that in Endgame when Scott and Hope try to fix the van.

    29. When Thanos slowly chips away at Captain America's shield during the big battle, it's a nod to Tony's dream from Age of Ultron.

    30. Tony using the Infinity Gauntlet is also a direct reference from the comics — in a 2011 comic, Tony uses the Gauntlet to put the Hood in prison.

    31. The teen seen at Tony's funeral is Harley Keener from Iron Man 3 — he was the boy that helps Tony after he crash lands in Tennessee.

    32. When Steve and Bucky are saying goodbye, Steve tells Bucky not to do anything stupid while he's gone. The conversation is the reverse of one they had in Captain America: The First Avenger.

    33. The song that Peggy and Steve dance to at the end is the same song that played when Fury visited Steve's apartment in The Winter Soldier — meaning, Steve has had the perfect song picked out all this time.

    34. While there isn't a post-credits scene in Endgame, you can hear the sound of Tony building the first Iron Man suit from Iron Man.

    35. And finally, while it hasn't been confirmed, one Reddit user thinks they spotted Ben Mendelsohn at Peter Parker's school at the end of the film — meaning Talos could be posing as a teacher.
