Basketball Announcer Asks His Partner If He's "Been Ridden" Before, Hilarity Ensues

    Bill Raftery's got onions.

Last night during Notre Dame's victory over Pittsburgh, veteran commentator/dirty old man Bill Raftery (the man famous for his "ONIONS" catchphrase) took the broadcast to a very awkward and sexual place. Fair warning: If you don't want to learn more about the sex life of Jay Bilas, please stop reading.

    THE BUILD UP.

Notre Dame's Jerion Grant was the "hot player" throughout the second half after a cold first half, and as Raftery notes, teams have to ride the hot player. That's all pretty normal banter. Then...

    THE BURNING QUESTION.

That was Bill Raftery asking Jay Bilas — on national, live television — if he's "ever been ridden." And Raftery definitely knew exactly what he was doing there.

    THE AWKWARD RESPONSE.

Jay Bilas really owns Bill Raftery here with some quick thinking. Further proof that Bilas, noted Young Jeezy acolyte, is hella trill.

    THE SILENCE.

There isn't video evidence, but I imagine Bill Raftery was pushing his chin out and silently mouthing "giggity giggity."

    THE AFTERMATH.

Play-by-play man Sean McDonough pretends we're watching a replay of the 1974 NBA Finals on ESPN Classic and moves our broadcast forward due to time constraints. Good save, Sean!
