Kim Kardashian is facing backlash for her "advice for women in business."

In a new interview with Variety, Kim said, “I have the best advice for women in business: Get your fucking ass up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days.”

In the video the quote is taken from, Kim then says, "You have to surround yourself with people that want to work. Have a good work environment where everyone loves what they do, because you have one life. No toxic work environments."

An excerpt was then posted to the Variety Twitter page, where the number of quote tweets — the majority of them negative — quickly outnumbered the amount of likes:

Many pointed out that Kim's father was wealthy and famous, and Kim herself grew up in Beverly Hills:

@Variety Holy shit, if only we could all grow up rich with influential parents and then tell less fortunate individuals that they need to work harder. I’m not even doubting that she works hard. But holy shit lady.

@Variety I have no doubt Kim works, but everything is easier when you have millions of dollars and an army of people working for you

@Variety I love when people who were born to obscenely rich, highly networked and well connected parents pontificate about importance of work.

Another user pointed out a reportedly real 2018 job listing for an unpaid internship at Jenner Communications:

Kim wasn't the only Kardashian asked for advice — in the full video, Khloé said, "My advice for women in business is you just have to do what you're actually passionate about. ... It's not easy, regardless of how it looks. I think people see things, with instant gratification because of social media, that they think it just comes easy to people."

Kylie Jenner said in the print piece, “I hope that I’ve inspired other women to take chances and follow their dreams."

The Kardashians have also been accused of copying other's products and designs multiple times. And just last year, Kim herself was sued for wage theft and retaliation by cleaning and maintenance workers in her Santa Monica homes, which she has denied.
