Since 2010 alone, states have enacted nearly 200 laws restricting the right to have an abortion (And yes, there’s a direct correlation to the 2010 midterm elections). As you can see, there has been an uptick of attacks on our reproductive freedom – making it almost impossible for women to make their own healthcare decisions.

How do they keep getting away with this?

It’s simple – they’ve got the political power. Anti-choice politicians hold a huge majority of positions of power on the state level.

Why such lopsided representation? These politicians campaign on creating jobs and rebuilding the economy while playing down their anti-choice agenda – then make attacking reproductive rights their top priority once they take office.

Not all hope is lost!

Seven in 10 Americans support legal abortion, and we have the power to raise our voices and tell them to put an end to their attacks on reproductive freedom once and for all. Just last week, we went to Congress with more than 150,000 petition signers and told them to stop their vote on an abortion ban – and it worked.
