The average Spartan takes 15 credits per semester. That's a lot of exams to prepare for! Thankfully, we're here to help. Here's how to make the most of your study session.

Find A Quiet Place

If your roommate would rather be watching TV or listening to music, find a spot where you won't be bothered. The residence hall study lounges, main lobbies, and the Union all offer quiet spaces where you can study in peace.

Go Off The Grid

If you're studying on your computer, it's easy to get distracted by your Facebook messages, or that Buzzfeed article you just opened. Minimize your other non-school-related tabs and focus in on your class material. Turn off your phone if you have to. You'll thank yourself later.

Get A Snack

Sparty's, the dining halls, and the Dairy Store can help take some of the edge off of your study session. Having something to eat can help you focus and what better way to reward your hard work?

Bring Friends

If you know people who are struggling in the same classes as you (or who have already taken them), invite them to your study group. It helps to have an outside opinion, especially from someone who's dealt with the material.

Set Goals, Take Breaks

Say you have three chapters to cram for the big test tomorrow. Here's one way to go about it:

- Read one chapter.

- Get a coffee and a snack.

- Read another chapter.

- Watch an episode of a TV show.

- Read yet another chapter.

And just like that, you're done. Workloads are much easier when you break them up.
