Prince Harry Opened Up About Princess Diana In The Oprah Interview, And Y'all, My Poor Little Heart

"I think she would feel very angry with how this has panned out."

Today, the long-awaited interview of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle aired. And boy, it was a doozy.

The queen of interviews (AKA Oprah) did a wonderful job of leading the conversation and asking the questions we wanted answers to.

One such topic was Prince Harry's thoughts on how his mom, Princess Diana, would feel about the prince and Meghan stepping back from the royal family.

"I think she would feel very angry with how this has panned out. And very sad," Harry said.

"But ultimately, all she'd ever want is for us to be happy."

Prince Harry revealed that he was financially cut off from his family and was only able to get by based on what his mom left him. "Touching back on what you asked on what my mum would think of this, I think she saw it coming," he said. "And I certainly felt her presence throughout this whole process."

"My biggest concern was history repeating itself. I've said that before on numerous occasions, very publicly. And what I was seeing was history repeating itself, but more, perhaps, or definitely far more dangerous, because then you add race in, and you add social media in. And when I'm talking about history repeating itself, I'm talking about my mother."

"When you can see something happening in the same kind of way, anybody would ask for help, ask the system of which you are a part of — especially when you know there's a relationship there — that they could help and share some truth or call the dogs off, whatever you want to call it. So to receive no help at all and to be told continuously, 'This is how it is. This is just how it is. We've all been through it...'"

"For me, I'm just really relieved and happy to be sitting here talking to you with my wife by my side because I can't begin to imagine what is must have been like for her going through this process by herself all those years ago. It has been unbelievably tough for the two of us, but at least we have each other," he concluded.

Sending big hugs to Harry and Meghan!!
