Hermione sucker-punched Draco right in the face, proving to fans once again why she's so damn amazing and why he's a "foul, loathsome, evil, little cockroach."
Well, today, I was surprised to find out that iconic blow to the face wasn't always a part of the script. Back during the opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood, Seventeen spoke with Tom about it all.
"I remember in the second film when I knew this was going to happen, I went up to her and told her to slap me (it was slap at the time), to rehearse it."
"Of course she just walked up to me and slapped me across the face really hard."
"Yeah, my male ego didn't quite know what to do with it. But I'll never forget it."
In all fairness, he did ask for it. And although he's still confused about when the scripted assault changed from a slap to a punch, Tom still gives Emma props on her fighting technique.
"I'm not sure, but somewhere between that and the third film it got a little bit more violent."
"She's got a bit of a mean right hook, Emma Watson."
