Darius Jackson spoke openly about his insecurities of being in a relationship with Keke Palmer way before the drama at Usher's concert.
After the video began to get a lot of attention, Darius Jackson, Keke's boyfriend and the father of their 4-month-old son Leo, did something that no one saw coming: He publicly shamed Keke for her outfit choice.
"It's the outfit tho," Darius commented about the video. "You a mom."
Well, during a recent interview on Keke's Baby, This Is Keke Palmer podcast — that was recorded before Ushergate — Darius talked about the concerns he had entering into a relationship with her and dating in the public eye.
“At first, it definitely was hard because it could all be very overwhelming," Darius said about going public with their relationship. "It was definitely overwhelming and intense at first."
"And it's like, you almost feel that pressure of needing to be perfect. And so, it really confused me and infiltrated my mind because not only did I have to hold myself to that perfect standard, I was also holding you to a perfect standard as well.”
Keke agreed with his sentiments and added that any "flaws" or disagreements that they might have will now be on public display for the "world" to see and discuss.
