    If you play the villain, kids will try to kill you after the show.

    1. For most of the guys, it’s their first time wearing women’s clothes.

    2. And wearing a moustache or a suit becomes a very comfortable norm for the ladies.

    3. A huge advantage of performing in pantomime is that there is no such thing as being too cheesy.

    4. Being cast as a really obscure extra can be exciting, even if it's just to serve as a blink-and-you'll-miss-it pun.

    11. The back end of a two-person costume is actually the most comfortable part.

    12. We deliberately write jokes that are just for the adults.

    13. Replying with "It's behind you" in normal conversation becomes weirdly difficult.

    14. Hearing rumours that the show might be postponed or cancelled is just standard.

    15. Children will attack you after the show if you play the villain but that just means you did your job very well.

    16. Watching someone with two left feet master a dance routine is like watching a beautiful butterfly emerge from a chrysalis.

    17. We develop the superpower of lightning-fast reactions to cover up forgotten lines or missed cues on stage.

    18. But with so many scripted mistakes made to look accidental, you'd never know.

    19. And after all those weeks of rehearsals, we become one huge family of great friends for that "happily ever after".
