Sarah Elaine Gasperik, 29, and her husband, Chris, 31, are huge fans of The Office, and have been for a long time — check out this photo they sent family and friends after getting engaged.
So, when it came time to announce she was pregnant with baby #3, the couple decided to do a The Office-themed announcement.
Sarah says, "I started looked for ideas on Pinterest but there was nothing." So, she and Chris brainstormed some of their own. Remember, for example, when Michael did this?
Well, Sarah had some fun with it:
And remember when Jim convinced Assistant to the Regional Manager, Dwight, that he needed to choose someone to act as Assistant to the Assistant to the Regional Manager?
Sarah and Chris used that as inspiration for their sons' part in the announcement. Lucas, 3, was the Regional Manager, and Kai, 17 months, was the Assistant to the Regional Manager.
Oh, and the "position being filled A.S.A.P. as possible..." on the letter board wasn't a typo. It was a reference to this Michael Scott gem:

Chris riffed on it for his part in the announcement.
Sarah — who is a professional photographer and took the photos herself using a tripod — says, "The most challenging part was getting the outdoor photos. The boys didn't want to cooperate and there were a lot of bugs flying around. But mostly, it was a fun shoot."
By the way, the Gasperik family's Assistant to the Assistant to the Regional Manager — due in September — is a girl.
