NOTE: I'm a fan of both Calvin Harris and Taylor Swift, take this article with a grain of salt and the message behind it :)
In case you've been living under a rock in the last 24 hours, or simply too busy with Pokemon Go, you might have missed out on Calvin Harris' little twitter rant yesterday about his Ex-Girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
And she sings on a little bit of it too ð Amazing lyric writer and she smashed it as usual https://t.co/vW3yGOIJit
Basically, Tay Tay dropped the bomb and let the world know that she had wrote and sang a bit of Calvin and Rihanna's smash hit "This Is What You Came For".
But Calvin was having none of it!
I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though. And initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym
For starters, the man plays it classy by explaining the process of the situation. Adding the smallest touch of shade by calling Taylor out on her change of heart.
Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though ð¤
BUT THEN, things get very juicy when Calvin says the things we've been all thinking.
I figure if you're happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do
I know you're off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I'm not that guy, sorry. I won't allow it
And in that moment Calvin taught us something very important. When someone is trying to drag you down, bring yourself back up, clear your head, and then DRAG THEM DOWN, CALL THEM OUT, AND LOVE YOURSELF.
So if anyone has done you wrong they better get ready cause Calvin Harris has taught you to call people out on their b/s.
Like to that girl in grade three who told you that you had weird eyelashes!
To that boy who got mad that they got stuck with you on their soccer team.
AND don't even get me started with that prick that cheated on you but tried to make the breakup seem "mutual".
So let us take this moment to respect Calvin Harris for standing up for himself and reminding us that we must do the same. SPREAD HAPPINES AND JOY FRIENDS ~!
