Santa Communicating To A Little Girl Through Sign Language Will Warm Your Heart

‘Tis the season to be bawling, fa la la la la la la la.

In the weeks running up to Christmas, the Cleveland Centre in Middlesbrough holds an annual event that gives children the chance to meet Santa.

This year, a special moment was caught on camera: Santa was filmed signing to a little girl named Mali Williams-Cody who has learning and communication difficulties.

In the video, Mali’s mother, Suzanne Williams, lets Santa know that her daughter can’t talk very well. Santa then asks whether she can use sign language…

…to which Williams replies: “Yeah she does animals and things like that”.

After a gentle tap on the arm Santa then begins to converse with Mali using sign language.

Mali’s face is full of happiness as she signs to Santa and shares her Christmas wishes.

The 40-second footage has been shared over 200,000 times since being uploaded to YouTube on Saturday.

A spokesperson for the Cleveland Centre told BuzzFeed News that it was a "magical experience". They also said that in their four years of holding the Christmas event this was "the most truly amazing few minutes" they had experienced.

"We believe the Cleveland Centre Santa is real and this truly captures the magic and spirit of Christmas," they said.

"Santa wants to make sure every child who visits really does experience what this time of year is all about. Santa will take his time with each and every child and will try and put a smile on their faces."

Middlesbrough locals commented on the post praising the Cleveland Centre and Santa for their Christmas spirit.
