The King of Rock and Roll is having a moment with the recent release of Elvis.
Baz Luhrmann (aka the man behind Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rouge! and The Great Gatsby) directed the biopic starring Austin Butler, Tom Hanks, and Olivia DeJonge.
Audiences have been praising Austin's epic performance as Elvis Presley, and the box office numbers were just as good. The film grossed over $31 million during opening weekend, beating out Top Gun: Maverick for the number one spot.
