Disney's been searching for the voice of their next princess, Moana, and they've found her at last: Meet 14-year-old Hawaiian Auli’i Cravalho.
Auli'i went on an initial audition and didn't hear back for weeks. Later she received an email for a callback asking her to audition again and do "more ad-libs."
And the casting directors continued to tease Auli'i, asking her if she could be even happier while saying her lines.
~nerve-racking~
Finally, they gave her the news she'd been hoping for — she was indeed the person they wanted to play Moana. And her reaction was priceless.
And of course, Auli'i had to call her mom and let her know the good news too.
Congrats, Auli'i!
Moana will be in theaters Thanksgiving 2016.
