Janet Hubert Called Out Will And Jada Pinkett Smith For Suggesting Black Actors Boycott The Oscars

"You ain't Barack and Michelle Obama, and you all need to get over yourselves."

Janet Hubert played Aunt Vivian on the now classic '90s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Hubert starred on the show for three seasons until she was unceremoniously let go and replaced by Daphne Maxwell Reid.

Hubert has made it known that she has her issues with Will Smith, and last night she called out Jada Pinkett Smith, Will Smith's wife, for suggesting black actors boycott the Academy Awards for their lack of diversity in this year's nominations.

Hubert opens her four-minute-long video by taking a jab at Will Smith.

After that, she criticizes both Will and Jada for worrying about the Oscars while alluding to the fact that there are more important things at stake, like police brutality and poverty.

Hubert even goes as far as to say that Pinkett Smith's suggestion to boycott the Oscars "ain't that deep."

Janet opens up old wounds in the video too. She discusses how Will Smith allegedly shut her down when she approached him to help her and other actors on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air rally for a raise since he was the star of the show and had some level of influence.

Per Janet, Will's response to her was: "My deal is my deal and y'all deal y'all's deal."

She continued to hurl verbal punches at Will and even suggested that he's not that talented of an actor.

It's been suggested that the main reason Jada released a video suggesting black actors boycott the Oscars is because her husband wasn't nominated for an award, which is part of the reason for Janet's video rebuttal.

Finally, Janet ends her video by slamming the Smiths for trying to boycott an industry that they both benefit from.

And, according to her, she's not bitter.

It doesn't take much for Aunt Viv to tell us how she really feels, huh?
