2. Because where else are you going to find an actual yellow brick road?

Take a trip to Land of Oz, which is located in Beech Mountain, NC.

3. You can search forever and you'll never find a sunset as gorgeous as when you're in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

4. Because there's no other rivalry quite like Carolina vs. Duke.

5. Once you leave North Carolina, you'll never sink your teeth into a better hot dog or burger than those Cook Out has to offer.

I mean, look at how glorious this is.

6. You know no other soda will be able to quench your thirst like a Cheerwine.

7. Because downtown Raleigh is breathtakingly beautiful at night and it has the best bars in the whole state.

8. Because there's nothing like enjoying great weather, good football, and fantastic food with your closest Tar Heels.

9. Because Bright Leaf food products are the absolute best, especially the hot dogs.

10. Because your heart swelled with joy when the ban NC had on same-sex marriage was dropped.

11. Because nothing beats hiking Grandfather Mountain with your friends and family in the spring.

12. Because there's nothing quite as special as going to the state fair in Raleigh, NC with your significant other.

13. And no matter how many times you do it, a trip to the Outer Banks with you family never gets old.

14. The same goes for Carowinds. Every North Carolinian has been no less than a million times.

And the Vortex is everyone's go-to ride.

15. Because everyone has a picture where they stand on the NC-SC state line.

16. Because after you've had a Krispy Kreme doughnut, all others will pale in comparison.

17. And no restaurant on Earth is touching the delicious seasoned fries from Bojangles.

18. Because nothing will fill you with nostalgia like the thought of Mayberry, NC and simpler times.

And although Mayberry, NC isn't a real town, you've at least seen The Andy Griffith Show. So it's real in your heart.

19. And no meal is as satisfying as eastern style bbq with a side of hush puppies, baked beans, and slaw.

20. Because there's no other sports logo in the world that reminds you of your childhood as much as this one.

21. Because no other water park will make you as happy as Wet 'n Wild Emerald Point during the summer.

22. Because there's no place on Earth as beautiful as the Blue Ridge Mountains during autumn.

23. And every time you see the Biltmore Estate, it'll remind you of the countless school field trips you took there.

And you no that no matter where life leads you, you'll always be gone to Carolina in your mind.
