I enjoyed reading the comments even more than the article (sorry Harriet Williamson). I am in Kansas City Missouri USA and addicted to British TV shows and movies so I didn’t see ‘want a cuppa?’ as in ‘want a cup of tea?’ and I am wondering about ‘innit’. I thought that meant ‘isn’t it’. And all this time I’ve thought ‘keks’ meant shoes so thanks for the clarification. My favorite is “It’s full of pricks in here.” I’ll be using that somewhere down the line.
