But they're also constantly changing, so it can sometimes be tough to figure out what to actually buy.

I think I've tried nearly all of them at some point, so I put together a list of popular Costco snacks, ranked from my least favorite to favorite.

Most of the list is shelf-stable (or nonrefrigerated) snacks for consistency, but if I missed your top choice, leave it in the comments!

If you like plantains, you'll like these. They're thick and hearty, and they hold up well for dipping. They're my husband's favorite chip at Costco — but I've got a few others I like better that we'll get into shortly.

I've come around to these, after initially dismissing them as lacking flavor. While they're still not quite as craveable as other crunchy, chip-adjacent snacks further down on this list, these still deserve props for a simple and organic ingredients list (basically: green peas, oil, salt) and the fact that each serving contains 5g of fiber.

I prefer these to the earlier granola-esque snacks because you can taste the actual ingredients (coconut, seeds, etc.). My only complaint is that they dry out after a bit, so grab this only if you think you can get through the bag pretty quickly.

I first tried these at a birthday brunch — arranged on a pretty tray — and I assumed someone brought them in from a bakery. Turns out: just Costco! (However, they're made in France, as the box repeatedly wants you to know.) Some flavors are better (pistachio) than others (peach), but I can appreciate that they're about as budget-friendly — $20 for 36 — as you'll find when it comes to macarons.

If you're feeding a variety of eaters, these are great for cheese-and-jam party boards. They're great because they're gluten-free — but still tasty enough for non-GF guests to not even know the difference.

If you're vegan or baking for someone who is, Hu chocolate is the tastiest I've found — and it doesn't have any weird ingredients. These dark chocolate chunks are all-purpose, though Hu's chocolate-covered nuts are super good, too.

These are great for a quick on-the-go snack. And while this box of 36 is still kinda pricey at $19, I've never found a cheaper cost-per-bar elsewhere. Worth reiterating, though: these aren't full-size KIND bars. (And yes, the packaging does say "minis" — but given the higher price point, I missed that and was surprised the first time I opened a box.)

These are one of my snacks of choice when I want quick (and portable!) protein. This one is especially great because — unlike some other Costco jerky options — it doesn't have added sugar or preservatives.

The first time my toddler tried these, she said — with a look of awe — that they tasted like "donut chips". And you know what? She's not wrong. They're all the flavors you love in churros — but in highly-snackable chip form. (And while they're sweet, they're not overly sweet. Each serving has 5g of sugar.) 

4. Made Good Granola Minis

Not only are these grab-and-go granola pouches tasty, but from a parent perspective: they're versatile. The fact that the granola is soft and chewy (not crumbly) means it's mess-free. And — unlike some some other granolas — this version doesn't have nuts, so it's classroom- and lunch-box friendly. My only complaint? My Costco recently stopped carrying these. (Please bring them back, Costco!)

If you ever run into me at Costco, there's a likely chance I have 2 or 3 of these bags in my cart — and I'm not ashamed. My whole household loves these. The crispy, wafer-y crunch is super light and satisfying, and the subtle, sweet (but again, not too sweet!) coconut flavor is A+.
