Use refined coconut oil when you are putting it on your skin as it is more sanitary and doesn’t have the smell. And for the complaints about how it feels, give it time and it soaks in. I use it every night to wash my face. Also, you can create an incredible body butter by mixing it with shea butter (3 parts coconut oil to 1 part shea). Granted I live in Colorado where it is very dry and this kind of moisturizing is necessary. Nowhere in here does it mention that it is antibacterial as well. It’s probably one of the best natural, chemical free, multi-use products out there so do your research on all of the different ways to use it.
